My name is Rylie Te Nahu.

I am 9 years old. I am a year 5 at Makaraka School.

When I grow up I want to be someone who walks around the City and help poor people and while doing that I can pick up Rubbish and put it in the Bin so I am protecting the Environment.

My favourite thing to do at school is Learning new Maori songs and Learning about S.E.S meaning Saftey Evacuation Service, That is what it stands for. My Favourite thing to do at school is also doing my 12x Times Tables.

My home hobbies are... Doing my School Work, Chores, Games, Quality Time With My Family, and also Cooking!

Rocket Desingn

Kia Ora everyone,

This is my Rocket Design, I drew about 2 weeks ago. I loved drawing my Rocket Design. It was  really fun, We had 5 minutes to draw it up so then we can make the Rocket with a bottle. This was an idea me and my team came up with and idea, We went onto the floor and gathered our Rockets and picked one Design of our Rocket and made it to a team Rocket. T.E.D Lab

Kia Ora everyone,

This is my and my classes Logo. Kaycee, and Bella worked really really hard to make this logo. It looks very very cool! Two days ago Me, Anna, Christebel, Libby, Raff, and Bella started on drawing the logo for our door! We already did the 2 leafs and the rocket, all we have to do now is the circle and pattern. T.E.D Lab stands for Tawhirimatea Engineering and design Lab that is what T.E.D Lab stands for. I enjoyed doing all this T.E.D Lab work. It is Amazing! Rylie Te Nahu

Maths Grid 2020 Term 2 Results

I am trying to get faster and more accurate at my times tables. Here is my graph with my weekly results. I think I am getting better although I am not very good at the 8x.

A Delicious Caramel Slice

Kia Ora everyone,

Today me, my mum, my brother Harlem, and my brother Brooklyn made a caramel slice. We added butter, shredded coconut, flour, brown sugar, condensed milk, golden syrup, and for the topping was melted chocolate drops and bunapitet you have got yourself a delicious caramel slice! YUMMY! I enjoyed making the caramel slice. Tonight we are going to have some YUSS! can't wait. Rylie Te Nahu

This is my art work using... Leafs, Sticks, Felts/Color Pens, Paper, and the lucky last... A Flower!

I found all of these Sticks and Leaves and 1 Flower outside in my family's garden.

I really enjoyed doing this it was so fun! even my little sister Ayla joined me and we both had fun and enjoying making this piece of artwork. Me and my sister loved it so much that we even played some music and sang with it. We were listening to dance monkey. I felt really happy after doing this. Hope you enjoyed reading. Rylie Te Nahu

The Lockdown

When the lockdown first started I was so excited to be at home for like 4-5 weeks until 2 weeks later it was so BORING me and my family were stuck inside for ages!!! 

So we decided to play some family games and enjoy our day inside and outside playing, I really enjoyed doing that instead of been inside doing chores.

Then we would stay up until 9.30 watching movies and then we go to bed having sweet dreams.

Then we had a routine, we would wake up and make beds have breakfast, brush our teeth and do school work for 3 hours. Then we have lunch and do creativity time which is making something creative and we would go outside to play for 2 hours and then come inside and dinner would be ready and then we would eat, do the dishes and then go out outside to play again for 2 hours. Then we would have showers, brush our teeth and watch a movie, then turn the tv off and go to sleep.

We start our routine over and over again. The next day all of us would keep on doing our routine and it is fun for my family. Including me.


That's it. That is what we do when we are at home enjoying the lockdown and also enjoying playing with each other.

How good am I at my times tables?

On Mondays and Wednesdays we draw up our grids and we do our maths so then we get better at maths.

I done my maths grid because I need to get better at doing maths.
I am getting better at learning my times tables and try get 100 out of 100.
What stood out is that I beat my maths score last time and I have got a better score.

I was wondering if I could get better at my times tables and try beat someone else?

How To Get Better At School This Term

I did a slide of how to get better at school for term 1. I did it because I need to get better at all four things. I am getting better at ability. What I think stood out was learning how to do something. I learnt about ability means like looking after yourself. The key ideas are to learn all four things at school and also home. I liked writing those four statements on my slide and also I enjoyed doing the whole slide. I should be wondering about those all four statements in my head. By Rylie
